Recipe: Make your own oxymel


Using our Lieblingsglas, you can easily make your own oxymel. This recipe combines winter ingredients with healing properties.
Ingredients:
200 g honey
200 ml apple cider vinegar
1 organic orange
1 organic lemon
1-2 fresh sprigs of rosemary
1 piece of ginger
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Preparation:

Prepare herbs and fruits:
Cut the orange and lemon into thin slices.
Also cut the ginger into slices.

Layers in the glass:
Layer the citrus fruits, ginger slices and rosemary sprigs alternately in a clean favorite glass.
Add the cinnamon stick for a warm spicy note.

Mix honey and vinegar:
In a separate glass, mix honey and apple cider vinegar until combined.
Pour the mixture over the fruits and herbs in the glass so that everything is well covered.

Let it ferment:
Close the jar and leave to infuse in a cool, dark place for 1-2 weeks. Shake gently occasionally.
After the brewing time, strain the solid components and pour the finished oxymel into a clean glass.
